Task System

Task are your equivalent to quest or missions in other Role Play Realms and will probably be your main source of income early on. Each has a set post count and each also gives a ranged base amount of Beli, EP, and Bounty or Reputation.

To do a Task, you should start by creating one that suits your character. It should be noted that Task come in all forms. Some may include going to sink Marine vessels, while another may make a Task protecting a village from a raid of bandits, or you may not even be fighting in one. Task do not need an employer and can simply be scenarios or quest your character or crew braves during their own journey. This means even if your character is a tweaked out psychopath, ransacking a town even if no one told you to can be seen as a Task.

Tier

Task are ranked by Tier, obviously as the Tier increases respectively the difficulty should as well. Task may be a single Tier higher than your own unless you are in the company of someone ranked higher than you. In that case the Tier of the Task may be equal to their Tier, losing the privilege to go a Tier higher. There are special circumstances where a Task can be ranked many Tiers higher than those accepting them, typically if it involves a moderate number of crew members and requires Moderator approval.

NPC or PC Task

NPC
NPC Task are your typical Task that you'd go on and complete. The topic remains under your complete control and the NPCs in the topic act as you write them out to act. NPC Task are considered [Closed] even for Hard Mode players. Nothing special or extra to be said here.
PC
PC Task are task that are open for intervention from others, so they are considered [Open]. Task can be made this way by choice or sometimes a moderator will ask you to change the Task to a PC Task. This is only asked of Task that are seen as too large scale to be a Closed scenario such as raiding a town, destroying an important monument on an island, robbing a bank, etc. Another time a moderator will ask you to make your Task PC is if it directly effects another PC or their belongings. The payout range for PC Task is the same as the payout range for NPC task, but chances are you'll be paid more for the risk you took with having a Task open to the elements of the world and potential opposition coming to thwart you.

In some rare cases with PC Task opposition may not always be another PC. For instance if you are a Pirate doing Task on an Island that is under Marine control and heavily populated by said faction, you may end up facing an NPC Marine.

Four Blues

Beli
The base payouts for Task in the Four Blues are as follows, if a moderator wishes to pay more due to quality of the execution, they may do so. Limited to a bonus 25% of the base reward. Maximum payout is typically given when task are executed extraordinarily and getting any of the 25% bonus is extremely rare. Typically expect task completion to give you about 75% of the max payout unless you know you are writing a compelling task.

  • Tier 1 Task - 0-100,000 Beli
  • Tier 2 Task - 0-200,000 Beli
  • Tier 3 Task - 0-350,000 Beli
  • Tier 4 Task - 0-500,000 Beli
  • Tier 5 Task - 0-15,000,000 Beli
  • Tier 6 Task - 0-25,000,000 Beli

Bounty
Below are the Bounty or Reputation payout ranges. The more glorious your deed or dastardly your crime, the more Reputation and Bounty you are given. If you're looking for ways to boost your Bounty while still getting Beli output try making task more geared towards accumulating Bounty as opposed to Beli. Perhaps kidnap a person of importance, it won't give you much Beli, but if done correctly you can surely get a hefty amount of Bounty. Just committing crimes in Non-Task topics is also a good idea to generate high amounts of Bounty, because you will notice the payout ranges have caps. In Non-Task Topics there are no caps.

  • Tier 1 Task - 0-100,000 Bounty or Reputation
  • Tier 2 Task - 0-500,000 Bounty or Reputation
  • Tier 3 Task - 0-1,000,000 Bounty or Reputation
  • Tier 4 Task - 0-10,000,000 Bounty or Reputation
  • Tier 5 Task - 0-25,000,000 Bounty or Reputation
  • Tier 6 Task - 0-50,000,000 Bounty or Reputation

EP
EP payouts are like the other two and have ranges, but luckily all of them don't start at 0. Completing the task is what will give you the minimum EP payout of the Task's Tier. To get the extra Ep and maybe the max amount, you have to work for it. Take out those NPCs in the Task. Produce some high quality work and exceed the word count requirement per Post and Post requirement per Task.

  • Tier 1 Task - 3,000-7,000 EP
  • Tier 2 Task - 5,000-10,000 EP
  • Tier 3 Task - 9,000-15,000 EP
  • Tier 4 Task - 12,000-20,000 EP
  • Tier 5 Task - 18,000-24,000 EP
  • Tier 6 Task - 20,000-28,000 EP

Paradise

Beli
Entering Paradise the difficulty should spike, meaning a Tier 1 Task in the Four Blues is not equal to a Tier 1 Task in Paradise. The base payouts for Task in Paradise are as follows, if a moderator wishes to pay more due to quality of the execution, they may do so. Limited to a bonus 25% of the base reward. Maximum payout is typically given when task are executed extraordinarily and getting any of the 25% bonus is extremely rare. Typically expect task completion to give you about 75% of the max payout unless you know you are writing a compelling task.

  • Tier 1 0-300,000 Beli
  • Tier 2 0-500,000 Beli
  • Tier 3 0-1,000,000 Beli
  • Tier 4 0-1,500,000 Beli
  • Tier 5 0-3,500,000 Beli
  • Tier 6 0-5,000,000 Beli

• Tier 3 Task - 0-25,000,000 Bounty or Reputation
  • Tier 4 Task - 0-50,000,000 Bounty or Reputation
  • Tier 5 Task - 0-100,000,000 Bounty or Reputation
  • Tier 6 Task - 0-200,000,000 Bounty or Reputation

EP
EP payouts are like the other two and have ranges, but luckily all of them don't start at 0. Completing the task is what will give you the minimum EP payout of the Task's Tier. To get the extra Ep and maybe the max amount, you have to work for it. Take out those NPCs in the Task. • Tier 1 Task - 5,000-10,000 EP
  • Tier 2 Task - 9,000-15,000 EP
  • Tier 3 Task - 15,000-25,000 EP
  • Tier 4 Task - 24,000-35,000 EP
  • Tier 5 Task - 35,000-50,000 EP
  • Tier 6 Task - 50,000-75,000 EP

Posting Requirements

Post Counts for Task must be reached to claim the Task Reward. When Tasks are done in groups, each participating member much reach the set Post Count for anyone to claim the reward. With Moderator Approval if a participant stops posting, this can be overlooked so hard work won't be wasted. The minimum Word Count when posting in a Task is 250 Words in the Four Blues and 400 Words in Paradise, so Task should develop and play out rather than being quickies done for easy money

  • Tier 1 - 3 Post
  • Tier 2 - 5 Post
  • Tier 3 - 6 Post
  • Tier 4 - 7 Post
  • Tier 5 - 10 Post
  • Tier 6 - 12 Post

Difficulty

Here we'll talk about Task difficulties. As the Tier goes up of course the difficulty should, but also as you go to another sea, Four Blues to Paradise, the difficulty goes up. To give you guys a more clear idea of this, we'll relate Canon happenings to Tiers of Task.

  • Tier 3 - Straw Hats vs Don Krieg

  • Tier 5 -

These Bosses, may have Devil Fruits, but only if they are not possessed by someone who is doing the task, someone you have encountered/know of, and as long as the Boss dies at the end of the task. Bosses are usually controlled, by the Task Participants, but if a moderator is asked and willing they may rp as the boss(es).

Lastly there are bonuses for Crews or well established teams/pairings. Stacking with the Treasure Hunter Crew Occupation, Crews or established pairings gain a bonus 20% of Beli upon Task completion.
